Bard on the Beach

Now in its 19th season, Bard on the Beach is one of Canada's largest not-for-profit, professional Shakespeare Festivals. Presented in a magnificent setting on the waterfront in Vancouver's Vanier Park, the Festival offers Shakespeare plays, related dramas, and several special events in two performance tents from June through September.

Corteo - Cirque du Soleil

June 12-July 6, 2008

Corteo, which means "cortege" in Italian, is a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. The show brings together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth.

Playland

June 26, 2008

Playland is now open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 6pm. And the NEW Pacific Adventure Golf is open weekends as well as during the week from 5pm to 9pm, come play golf at Vancouver's only adventure golf course!

2008 Vancouver International Jazz Festival

Vancouver Events and Attractions for May 2008

BMO Vancouver Marathon

May 4, 2008 | 5:00am - 2:00pm

The Vancouver Marathon is the largest in Canada. The race starts on Pacific Boulevard, then continues on to Gastown and through forested Stanley Park, before crossing Burrard Street Bridge to the Kitsilano neighbourhood and returning to the finish at BC Place Stadium. The day also features a half marathon and a kids "marafun".
