The beauty and power of nature are celebrated in this "eco-concert" that features Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde (Songs of the Earth), a song-cycle on a symphonic scale that venerates the sacredness of nature. Maestro Tovey conducts.

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra presents Last Night of the Proms, a beloved concert tradition originating with the BBC Symphony's Promenades series, and still going strong so many years later. Last Night of the Proms is a fun-filled spectacle brimming with popular light classics and patriotic tunes such as Jerusalem and Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance No. 1, and Big Band Classics from the 40s and 50s. Maestro Bramwell Tovey conducts and hosts with his trademark wit and flair. And don't miss a special appearance by Vancouver music legend Dal Richards and his band!
