Sarah Chang with the VSO!

Saturday & Mondy Apr 2nd, 4th @ 8 pm in Orpheum Theatre

Violinist Sarah Chang is truly a superstar in the world of classical music. A dazzling performer and one of the top violinists of her day, Sarah Chang always plays to rave reviews and standing ovations! She will perform one of the greatest concertos of any kind, the Brahms Violin Concerto. Johannes Brahms was a Romantic era composer, but one whose writing still favoured the classical purity of Beethoven and Mozart. This concerto rests firmly in both the Romantic and Classical worlds, rather Beethoven-esque in scale and ambition, and remains of the greatest works ever written for violin and orchestra.
